The connector protector (Option 01) is a plastic cover. It shields the electrical contacts from dust, moisture, and physical damage during storage, transport, and before final connection.
Does the longer cable affect measurement accuracy?
The longer cable increases resistance slightly, but the monitoring system compensates for this. Signal quality remains high for standard vibration monitoring, though very high-frequency response may be slightly reduced.
Can I shorten the cable myself if it’s too long?
No. The cable is factory-terminated and calibrated to its specific length. Cutting the cable will ruin the probe. Always order the exact length you need for your application.
