Product details

E82ZAFCC210 Lenze 8200 vector CAN I/O PT Function Module

The E82ZAFCC210 is a plug-in CAN I/O PT function module. It fits the FIF slot of the Lenze 8200 vector and 8200 motec drives. The module adds a system bus port on a pluggable spring-clamp terminal strip. It uses DIN ISO 11898 with a profile close to CANopen (CiA DS301). Two free digital inputs come with it. A DIP switch sets baud rate and address. This is a spare part for legacy 8200 vector systems.

Why Engineers Pick It

  • Quick bus setup: DIP switch sets speed and address without software.
  • Flexible network: master or slave, up to 63 devices.
  • Five baud rates: 20, 50, 125, 250 and 500 kbit/s.
  • Simple wiring: pluggable spring-clamp terminal strip.
  • Extra I/O: two programmable digital inputs.

    • ZAF — function module (option card)
    • CC — CAN communication variant
    • 210 — I/O PT version with two digital inputs

Technical Data

  • Medium: DIN ISO 11898; profile similar to CANopen (CiA DS301)
  • Topology: line, 120 Ω termination at both ends
  • Role: system bus master or slave
  • Max devices: 63
  • Baud rates: 20 / 50 / 125 / 250 / 500 kbit/s
  • Digital inputs: 2, freely programmable
  • Address and rate setup: DIP switch
  • Connection: pluggable spring-clamp terminal strip (X3) and dual screw connection
  • Wire size: rigid or flexible 1.5 mm² (AWG 16)
  • Supply: from host drive internal bus
  • Insulation to PE: 50 V AC
  • Humidity: average 85 % RH, no condensation (class 3K3 per EN 50178)
  • Housing size: not published
  • Weight: not published

Operating Limits

  • Working temperature: -20 to +60 °C
  • Storage temperature: -25 to +60 °C
  • Moisture: 85 % RH average, non-condensing
  • Insulation strength: 50 V AC to earth

Installation Steps

  • Power off the drive and wait for the DC bus to discharge.
  • Insert the card into the FIF slot of the 8200 vector or 8200 motec.
  • Push the pluggable terminal strip fully into place.
  • Set baud rate and node address on the DIP switch.
  • Terminate both bus ends with 120 Ω.
  • Use 1.5 mm² (AWG 16) wire on the spring-clamp strip.
  • Keep bus cable away from motor power lines.

Setup and Care

  • Confirm the address matches the master plan before power-up.
  • Test one node first, then add the rest.
  • Check bus continuity with a meter at both ends.
  • Reseat the strip if a node drops offline.
  • Clean terminals only with the drive unpowered.

Compatibility Notes

  • Fits 8200 vector and 8200 motec drives with a free FIF slot.
  • Works as master or slave in a Lenze system bus line.
  • Speaks a CANopen-like profile (CiA DS301).
  • Draws power from the host drive bus; no separate supply.
  • Not for newer Lenze drive generations; check your drive first.

Lifecycle Status

  • Legacy part; listed on the Lenze previous products page.
  • Superseded by newer drive generations.
  • Last verified: 2026-10.

Expert Review and Manager’s Insight

Our team sees this card as a smart repair part. It keeps old 8200 vector lines running. Setup is easy because DIP switches set speed and address. No software tool is needed. The 63-device limit fits most machines. Two digital inputs save extra wiring. Bus termination is the one thing to get right. Do that, and the module is stable. For legacy support, it is a low-risk choice.

Best-Fit Equipment and Applications

  • Retrofit of existing 8200 vector drive cabinets
  • Conveyor lines that share one system bus
  • Packaging machines with multi-axis control
  • Textile and printing lines with older Lenze drives
  • Pump and fan groups that need remote speed control
  • Spare-part stock for maintenance teams

FAQ

Q: Will it work as the bus master?

A: Yes. The card can act as master or slave.

Q: How do I set the node address?

A: Use the DIP switch on the card.

Q: What wire should I buy?

A: 1.5 mm² (AWG 16) rigid or flexible cable.

Q: Is a separate power supply needed?

A: No. The host drive bus powers the card.

Q: From experience, why does a node drop out?

A: Most cases come from missing 120 Ω terminators or a loose strip.

Q: What warranty and shipping do you offer?
