FAQ
Q: What liquid can this flow meter handle?
A: It works with conductive liquids. Water and water-based media are the main target. The liquid needs at least 20 µS/cm conductivity.
Q: How much straight pipe is needed before the sensor?
A: Allow 3 x DN on the inlet side. Allow 1 x DN on the outlet side. Short runs cause swirl and unstable readings.
Q: Can I read flow and temperature at the same time?
A: Yes. The unit tracks flow and medium temperature together. The 4-digit display shows either value. IO-Link sends both to the controller.
Q: What causes a zero-flow reading to drift?
A: Air bubbles are the most common cause. Trapped gas in the pipe disturbs the magnetic field. Mount the sensor in a full pipe and bleed the line first.
Q: How do I set the analog span for my PLC?
A: Set ASP for the low end and AEP for the high end. Choose a span inside 0 to 25 l/min. Match the load to 500 Ω for current or 2000 Ω for voltage.
Q: Is a separate temperature probe needed?
A: Usually no. The built-in temperature channel covers -20 to 80 °C. Accuracy stays within ±2.5 K when flow exceeds 1 l/min.
