5.0 Professional FAQ (experience + selection guide)
- Can I use SD834 without a redundancy module?Yes, it works as a standalone 24V supply. For 1+1 redundancy add SS823 or SS832.
- What external fuse do I need for the primary?Use a 10‑20 A slow‑blow fuse or circuit breaker (type C recommended).
- Is the output really SELV even at 20 A?Yes. It meets EN 50178, so output is safely separated and SELV/PELV approved.
- Can I mount this unit vertically on DIN rail?Yes. It is designed for DIN rail mounting in any orientation, but keep 15 mm side spacing for cooling.
- Does it have a DC‑OK signal for PLC?Yes. The floating relay contact changes state when output is normal.
