- This probe uses 1/4-28 UNF thread. What if my machine has an M10 metric thread?
- These threads are not directly compatible. You must use the correct thread type for your mounting hole. The 3300 XL series offers M10 threads, while the NSv series offers this UNF thread.
Installation & Usage
- What is the “maximum length of thread engagement” for this probe?
- For the 1/4-28 UNF thread, do not engage more than 0.563 inches (approx. 14.3 mm) into the mounting hole. Exceeding this can damage the probe.
- The torque specification has two values. Which one should I follow?
- Use the recommended torque of 11.3 N•m (100 in-lb) for secure installation. The maximum value (33.9 N•m) is the absolute limit before risk of damage.
