When should I choose the 6.2-inch case length (option 62)?

Select this when your mounting hole is deep. Common on large turbines, generators, or gearboxes where the probe must pass through a thick casing to reach the shaft.

What is the difference between cable options “01” and “11”?

Option “01” has a standard FEP cable jacket. Option “11” (FluidLoc) has a special jacket that better resists oils, chemicals, and moisture. Use “11” in wet or dirty environments.

Is this long probe harder to install?

Not harder, but it needs more space. Ensure you have enough clearance to insert the full 6.2 inches into the mounting hole before threading it.

Can I use this in a hazardous area?

This specific model (option 00) does not have agency approvals for hazardous locations. For such areas, you need a model with approval options like “05”.

My old probe has a 2.5″ case. Can I replace it with this 6.2″ one?

Only if your mounting hole is deep enough. The longer case will not fit in a short hole. Always check your mechanical drawings for the required probe length.
