Installation & Performance
Why is the recommended gap -9 Vdc?
This setting places the target in the middle of the probe’s linear range. It provides the best measurement accuracy for vibration.
My cable run is very long. Will this cause issues?
You can use up to 305 meters of cable. Very long runs may reduce high-frequency signal quality. Use good quality shielded cable.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
How often should I check the probe gap?
Check during annual machine maintenance. Also check if vibration readings seem unusual or drift over time.
The probe was in cold storage. Can I use it immediately?
Let it warm to above -30°C before installing. Sudden temperature change can damage the seal.
