FAQ – Selection & Installation
- What is the target material for this probe?
The 330102-00-28-05-02-00 works best with steel. The target should be magnetic and electrically conductive. - Can I cut or extend the 0.5 meter cable?
No. The cable length is factory-set. Cutting it changes the electrical tuning. Order the correct length from stock. - How do I set the correct gap voltage?
Adjust the probe position while monitoring the DC voltage. Set it to the recommended -9 Vdc for radial vibration. - Is this probe suitable for high-pressure applications?
The seal handles differential pressure. But probes are not pressure-tested before shipping. Contact Bently for special testing. - What is the difference between standard and extended temperature probes?
Standard works to +177°C. Extended range probes handle up to +218°C at the tip. Choose based on your machine temperature.
