Frequently Asked Questions
Understanding the Product
- What is a “Reverse Mount” probe used for?
A reverse mount probe is used when physical space constraints prevent installing a standard forward-mount probe. The mounting orientation is different to fit specific machinery designs.
- Why does this probe have an 11mm diameter?
The 11mm diameter provides a larger, more robust body compared to 8mm probes. This offers greater strength and durability for demanding applications.
Installation & Handling
- How do I connect the triaxial cable properly?
The triaxial cable has three conductors. You must connect it to a compatible triaxial Proximitor. Follow the wiring diagram in the system manual carefully.
- The connector torque is “finger tight.” What does that mean?
It means you should tighten the connector by hand until it is snug. Do not use tools. Over-tightening can damage the delicate coaxial connector.
