Installation Quick Guide

• Drill and tap 1/4-28 hole. Use #3 tap drill or larger.
• Max thread engagement is 0.375 inches. Do not over-tighten.
• Apply 5.1 N·m torque for probe case. Max 7.3 N·m.
• Keep cable bend radius above 25.4 mm.
• Connect to XL Proximitor sensor with -24 Vdc supply.

Debugging & Maintenance

• Check gap at 1.27 mm (50 mils) for best linear range.
• Use -24 Vdc supply. Voltage above -23.5 Vdc reduces linear range.
• Inspect cable for cuts or kinks.
• Clean probe tip with soft cloth. Do not scratch PPS.
• Test resistance: center to outer conductor should be 7.45 ± 0.50 ohms.
